Rotary Club of Calcutta South West chartered on 26 December, 1956 began the journey from 26 January, 1957 with the Charter presentation ceremony and meeting under the presidentship of PP J S Mathur. The club was sponsored by Rotary Club of Calcutta.

Rotaract Club of Calcutta South West

Rotaract Club of Calcutta South West happens to be one of the oldest running club in the RI District 3291 (after the Rotaract Club of Calcutta). The Rotaract movement of this district began with the Rotaract Club of South Calcutta. The Rotaract Club of Calcutta was charted on 19 June 1969.

The Rotaract club of Calcutta South West was inaugurated on November 1974 with 17 members. This club is being sponsored by Rotary Club of Calcutta South West, the second oldest Rotary club of the District. Rtn Nirmal Kr Roychowdhury was the President of the Rotary Club of Calcutta South West during that period.

Till date this Rotaract Club has given many DRR and other office bearers in the Rotaract District. This Rataract Club has many vibrant members and is one of the most active clubs in the District.

The Rotaract Club of Calcutta South West works hand in hand with their sponsored Rotary Clubs and organises many meaningful projects through out the year.
